Chicken Mulakittathu (Spicy Kerala Chicken)

This is a special delicacy of North Kerala - Kozhikode or Calicut (Malabar cuisine, South India). It is a very simple dish. Cook chicken along with all the mentioned ingredients together along with shallots or sliced onion and red chilli powder. The chicken is cooked in a spicy red curry sauce which imparts a rich flavor, colour and texture to the gravy. Usually served with rice or pathiri (Thin Rice Roti) or Chapati.

The only thing is that, it will take time to cook and coat well with the masala, because we are not sautéing much here. So, have patience and make a tasty, easy Chicken Mulakittathu.
