Ingredients:
Chicken: 1 lbs (1/2 kg)
Salt: to taste
Turmeric Powder: ½ tsp
Onion: I Large (Roasted)
Dry Coconut Pieces: 1/4 cup
Sesame Seeds: 1 tbsp
Cumin: 1 tbsp
Garlic: 6-8 pieces
Ginger: 1” length
Fresh Green Coriander: ¼ Cup
Onion: 2 Medium size
Oil: 2-3 tbsp
Kanda Lasun Masala: 2 tbsp
Kashmiri Chili Powder: 1 tbsp
Method:
Clean Chicken pieces and wash it thoroughly
Sprinkle salt (1/2 tsp) and turmeric powder (1/2 tsp)
Mix well and keep aside
Keep Onion on a gas or Chulha and roast it thoroughly
Take Kadhai or Pan, on a medium heat add cumin seeds, sesame seeds, saute well till they popup. Keep aside
Now add dry coconut pieces in a Kadhai and roast till they light brown
Mix all and take it in a grinder and make a fine powder.
Add ginger, garlic, fresh coriander and roasted onion and make a fine paste.
Add little water to make a paste
Now chopped two medium size onion (slices).
Heat the oil in a Kadhai, once hot add sliced onion. Saute well till they turn to light brown.
Add ground masala and saute continuously. Do not stick masala to kadhai.
Add Kanda lasun masala and Kashmiri red chili powder.
Saute well. Add salt to taste (remember salt is also used in marinated chicken)
Add one cup of hot water and mix well.
Add Chicken pieces and mix them very well
Put the lid on and cook the chicken for 15 minutes on a medium heat till chicken is perfectly cooked.
Check the consistency.
It’s Sukhe (Dry) Chicken so do not add water further. Keep the gravy thick.
